Departing from Geraci Siculo in the direction of Catania there are the
Gole di Alcantara, gorges which a river has cut in the basalt rocks, one
of the most attractive natural phenomena on the island. It is possible
to visit the gorges walking through the cold waters wearing special boots
distributed by the guides. For the laziest it would be enough to lay on
the sun along the river...
